The western limit of Bellsund is confined by a line between Lågneset to Straumsneset. Akseløya and Mariaholmen separate Bellsund from Van Mijenfjorden. In southeast, Bellsund is separated from Van Keulenfjorden by a line between Forsbladodden, through Eholmen to Richardodden.
